Beta = 2024
Sigh. Why can't it be higher? By my calculations, this is just above 66%. Barely adequate.
When do I get to feel GOOD about this?
Going into the weekend a bit less confident. Sono on Monday.

I'm so sorry that it's so frustrating. *hugs*
I am sorry that you are in this situation - however, I believe this 2-fold value does not need to be exactly reached. I found this caluclator helpful http://babymed.com/Tools/Pregnancy/hCG/Default.aspx. If you type your values in here, they might look just normal. I hope everyting works out!
Honestly, you'll start to feel good about it when the baby is home in your arms and about a month old.
Seriously. Especially since you've been here before.
I know it's impossible, but try not to worry. Every pregnancy is different... starting with how high the betas are and how they double.

Damn it! I'm with you. The higher betas get, the slower the doubling time, if that's any comfort. Though it may not be.
I've got everything, I mean everything crossed for Monday.
for what its worth, my betas for the boy currently laying across my lap only ever went up by 60%. I was freaked, but my nurse said that was totally acceptable. I'd only ever heard the rule of thumb that said they should double, but I started Googling and sure enough found that many doctors look for a rise of 60%. Good luck - thinking good thohts for you.
Thinking of you... I'm sorry these results weren't the smash out of the park that you were hoping for, but if the other commenters are right (which they usually are!), then I'm guessing it'll all be fine anyway. I'll be waiting anxiously for your results on Monday! (Yeah, yeah. I know YOU'LL be waiting much more anxiously than me, but just know that I'm waiting with you.)
I've never been through beta hell, but have read so many stories of wonky betas turning into living healthy children. So I'm waiting with you and hoping for you that this is one of those times.
Well, if you're going from your beta last Sat till this Friday's, your doubling time is about 54 hours. Which is great! Plus your number more than doubled on Wed, so I'm betting you're still on track.
Keep the faith, and hope you get good news on Monday that things are developing well. I'm pretty glad they didn't check my beta till 19dpr and again at 23dpr. I couldn't beg for one sooner, and didn't have as many numbers to obsess over. They haven't checked it or my progesterone since - I'm just trying to think positive and hope for the best.
I know how hard it is to wait -- believe me. But it's true that doubling times slow the higher you go...and that 66% is totally within the normal range (and it is a wide range). I will be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for you on Monday.
I'm sorry it can't just be cutndry, obviously good news. Lord knows you've earned it.
No, that is FABULOUS! When betas go above 1000, doubling time can be as long as 96 hours. Praying for you and this pregnancy.
Feel good... Monday will show you something beautiful, I just know it. xoxoxoxoxoxo
